Choir Practice

Choir practice is this Sunday morning, January 25, at 9:00am. We are working on our program for our trip to Leo, IN. All are welcome and encouraged to attend. We only have 4 practices left (including this one) - please be there promptly at 9:00am. I look forward to praising God with you in song.

Midwest Food Bank

Vision Committee Update

On Monday evening, March 17, 2008, the Vision Committee met to discuss and consolidate the whole Church Vision Statement and SWOT analysis from the small group meetings in December 2007. We reviewed all 16 pages of the whole church statements, condensed them for clarity and are working towards implementation of the mission and goals with these statements in mind.

One key addition to the mission statement, based on the valuable input from the small group meetings with the entire church, is an outreach goal.

We met for 2½ hours and are planning to meet again on Tuesday, March 25, 2008 to continue the work of consolidating and revising the goals.

Please be prayerful for this group and our entire church body and we seek God's direction for our congregation.

Midwest Food Bank Correction

The correct load out dates for Midwest Food Bank are March 25th and 26th NOT March 24th and 25th.

Also, I talked to them today and they are looking for groups to commit to serve the volunteers on the load days from 10-2:30 a simple lunch. For those interested, contact Natalie at Midwest Food Bank at 317-786-8980. They need 3-5 servers on these days.

Foodbank Dedication

Here are a handful of pictures that I took on the day that the foodbank was dedicated. Some are of the office area as well as upstairs where there will be room for activities, crafts, and medium to large sized groups to dine. Downstairs there is an area for childcare-nursery and nursing room as well as a regular kitchen. The rest of the pictures are from the floor with the racks, as you can see.
